As President of the J. Graham Brown School PTSA, I am proud to share our experience partnering with Sun Dog Yoga as part of our 2026 After-School Enrichment Program. Sun Dog Yoga has made a meaningful and lasting impact on our participating students. Through intentional instruction and a nurturing approach, the program provided our children with tools to improve focus, reduce stress, and build confidence—skills that extend far beyond the classroom. We observed students becoming more centered, more self-aware, and more equipped to manage both academic and social challenges. Sarah, who leads the program, is truly exceptional. She is kind, patient, and genuinely invested in the well-being of each student she works with. Her ability to connect with children of all ages and create a welcoming, inclusive environment has been instrumental to the program’s success. Beyond her professionalism, she is simply a pleasure to work with—responsive, collaborative, and aligned with our mission of supporting the whole child. On behalf of the J. Graham Brown School PTSA, I highly recommend Sun Dog Yoga to any school or organization seeking to enrich student development through mindfulness, movement, and positive engagement. Their contribution to our school community has been both impactful and deeply appreciated.

This kids yoga class is absolutely wonderful! Sarah has such a natural way with children—keeping them engaged, active, and having fun the entire time. They blend movement, mindfulness, and creativity in a way that’s perfect for kids. Highly recommend to any parent looking for a positive and nurturing activity!

Sarah with Sun Dog Yoga visits our Child Development Center twice a month, and it’s an absolute highlight of the day for our children! She always has wonderful developmentally appropriate activities planned, and the children all respond very well to her gentle guidance. We love having her here as a part of our program!

Sun Dog Yoga's classes are fun and engaging for students and teachers alike. The instructor, Mrs. Sarah, plans unique and themed lessons for my Pre K students. Every lesson is filled with a variety of components, such as: a story, movement, songs, learning games, stretching, and breathing. My students love to participate. It is a wonderful experience for everyone! Would highly recommend.

Who we are

Yoga that reaches beyond a single room.

Sun Dog Yoga was founded in 2025 to make movement more available across ages, abilities, and circumstances. We bring programs into schools, libraries, daycare programs, senior services, shelters, partner organizations, and neighborhood spaces.

Our work begins by listening. Language, pacing, movement choices, and program formats are adapted to the people, purpose, and setting so participants can feel welcomed and supported.

What guides us

  • Kind: compassion and commitment guide how we welcome and support people.
  • Equitable: finances, ability, age, circumstance, and setting should not close the door.
  • Intentional: movement, language, pacing, and purpose are considered with care.
  • Personal: we listen and adapt to the people and community in front of us.
  • Innovative: stories, music, props, chairs, play, breath, and rest keep the practice useful and fresh.

Room for every body

Many ways to practice. One welcoming community.

Children forming a playful circle during a group yoga activity
Play and imagination help young people experience movement as something joyful and welcoming.
A diverse group practicing seated yoga together
Practice can make room for different bodies, backgrounds, and starting points.
Older adults practicing yoga together on mats
Movement can support steadiness and connection through every season of life.
Adults practicing a standing side stretch in a community yoga class
Each room can become a place to move, breathe, and belong.
